Ever since we saw the L & A letters decorating the apartment walls of Lauren Conrad on The Hills, we knew we wanted to incorporate something like this into our flat. However, we want to make it a little extra special, so we are on the hunt for reasonably priced vintage-style fairground letters!

We first saw these funky pieces of wall art in Heals and after seeing the price tag we almost gave up on the dream of having a D & M on the wall… However, if we did have some spare cash, we think these would be a great investment and statement pieces. From £319, they are certainly at the top end of the price scale, but the fact you can buy through Heals ensures that we would be buying a quality product.

Our next port of call was Goodwin + Goodwin, the experts in interiors typography. Priced at a cool £225, they are slightly cheaper than their Heals counterparts. We like the fact that the G+G offerings made in London and each one is hand-crafted meaning no two are ever the same. With the option of either LED or Iridescent bulbs,  you can ensure that these will not eat up too much electricity…

Our last find – and probably the only one we can actually afford at present – are these personal marquee letter prints from The Drifting Bear Co. While not actually the light-up bulbs we want, these prints give the illusion of the look we’re after. What’s best is they are not actually working lights, so would not eat into an electricity bill. Priced at £95, we’re sure we could stretch to having our initials printed. You can purchase these prints direct or through Notonthehighstreet.com.
