On Thursday morning we popped down to the John Lewis Oxford Street store to see the grand unveiling of their new home department. The revamp was certainly no disappointment and there was plenty to see, buy and do.

From new and exclusive design introductions as well as exciting services, the home store giant has everything needed to kit out your home.
An abundance of great homewares and accessories, new exclusive collaborations have been introduced with Lindsey Lang, Antoni and Alison and Another Country joining the offering. Fans of American born West Elm, rejoice! They too are setting up camp amongst the 25 inspirational room-sets.

Lighting from Tom Raffield is beaming up in the ‘Creative Space’ area, a hallway hub designed by one of our Glaswegian favourites, Timorous Beasties.

Design consultations and expert help is readily available – perhaps you’re looking for particular lighting or need help with choosing a colour palette, Design Advisors are there to point you in the right direction, all without the need for an appointment. However, if it’s a bigger revamp you’re planning then longer consultations can be booked.
Looking for something a little more hi-tech? Then meet the Head of Design, a gigantic futuristic head where customers can discover their interior design style. A three-minute test will gauge exactly what trends you’re matched to, creating an instant moodboard of colours, textures, themes and trends ideal for easier shopping and a great way to focus your interiors mind!

All these options create a simpler, more enjoyable interiors journey and whether you walk into store with an idea in mind or are excited to have the ideas come to you, the new home department is perfect for anyone hungry for homewares.
