Chores are really rubbish, aren’t they? No one likes to wash-up or put the bins out except for Kim and Aggie. One of the chores we really hate is ironing and we’ll do most things to avoid it. With that said, we have never been one to iron bedding, not like our parents anyway, who would ensure that their beds receive the treatment not even our finest shirts do.
But gone are the days of smart-looking bed linen. Yes, that’s right. It’s now all about LINEN. Rejoice fellow iron haters. This fuss-free, no-iron alternative is the stuff of dreams – literally.
We thought we’d do the hard work for you and pop together a round-up of the best places to head to for achieving the perfect night’s rest. So whether you’re looking for stripes, mix and match colours or the best price, here’s all you need to know.
The best for mix and matching colours
Loaf‘s Lazy Linen collection is suitably scrumptious and comes in five colours; Charcoal, Duck Egg, Dusty Pink, Light Grey and White. The best bit about it is that you can compile your ideal bedding bundle so if you want a Dusty Pink sheet with a Charcoal duvet cover and Duck Egg pillowcases then go forth and bundle!
Loaf’s bundles are currently on offer and start at £235 for a double which includes a fitted sheet, duvet cover and 2 pillowcases. Click here to check it out!
The best for stripes
Want to add some pattern to your room? Stripes are the way forward, friends. We’d recommend Soak & Sleep‘s Linen Stripe range. Available in Natural, Pink and Blue (seen below) the bedding has great coastal vibes.
A double bed set is £130 and that includes a duvet cover and 2 pillowcases. You could include on of their fitted linen sheets for around £40. Click here to have a gander.
The best for bolder hues
Also, the winner of the most adorable brand name ever, meet Piglet. This new bedding brand has a beautiful collection of bed linen. Most bedding brands offer quite muted tones, however we love Piglets range of brighter hues including Sage Green and Indigo (as seen below).
A bedding bundle for a double comes in at £311.10 and that includes a duvet cover, a pair of matching pillowcases, an additional pair of white pillowcases, a white flat sheet and a white fitted sheet. Click here to see Piglets full collection of bedding bundles.
Best for colour variety
Caravane has a rainbow of shades to choose from. Their bedding may be a little bit more expensive but with so many colours to choose from, its definitely the best destination to get bed linen which matches your scheme perfectly.
It’s around £500 for a set of bed linen from Caravane and that will get you a duvet cover, a sheet and 2 pillowcases. Their bedding is beautiful and worth checking out – click here.
The best for cost
If you’re looking for a set which will save a few bob, head to the Secret Linen Store. It’s a bit of a cheat compared to the 100% linen options we’ve shown you but Secret Linen Store offer a linen and cotton mix which has the same relaxed feel, but at a smaller cost. Sounds pretty ideal to us. This Denim Natural bed linen has a beautiful pinky hue and we love the texture on the set.
It’s £103 for a duvet cover and 2 pillowcases, add a linen sheet and you’re looking at around £168 for the set. Take a look by clicking here.
The best of the best (with a price tag to match)
The Lario collection from Linen Works is a limited edition collection. The bedding is inspired by the brands Italian roots and draws inspiration from Lake Como. Made from 100% luxury linen, you’re bound to have a great sleep in this set.
Looks good, right? A full set will set you back £700 but you must admit, it looks great. If you fancy treating yourself, click here.
Time to get the linen look and have a long lie.
Night,
