- Fashion: Bearded beauty
She stole the nation’s heart back in May and has since become the reigning queen of the LGBT community, now she can add ‘catwalk model’ to her belt. Conchita Wurst, also known as ‘The Bearded Lady’, has closed Jean-Paul Gaultier’s A/W ’14 couture show in Paris and is ever the bit more fabulous as she was back when she killed it at Eurovision with “Rise Like A Phoenix”.

Having got the bug for vintage fairs, we spotted that Dusty Fingers has an upcoming event on the 20th July. Using the ethos ‘reuse, recycle, upcycle’, we can’t wait to get our hands on the finds that await us in The Round Chapel in Clapton. Who knows what we might pick up there? With a new found obsession for 1950s sci-fi inspired side-tables, we hope we can pick a bargain up…
- Food: We scream for ice cream
What could be better than a restaurant that simply does desserts? Nothing – that’s what. On Upper Tooting Road (across from the flagship Chicken Cottage takeaway) is a little slice of heaven called Afters. With everything from ice cream cakes, sundaes and every possible flavour under the sun (we recommend the Fererro Rocher. Seriously), you can also have a tasty treat folder on a ‘cold stone’, where they can fold flavours together to create an amazingly tasty treat. Stressed is just desserts backwards after all…

- Places to go: Flashbacks
For a hark back to a simpler time, take a trip to the V&A’s Museum of Childhood. Located just next to Bethnal Green, the museum houses toys and kid’s entertainment from all ages. With free entry and plenty to see and do, we’d definitely recommend a visit. Prepare to feel all nostalgic as you remember things such as a Sega’s, Gameboy’s, Thunderbird toys, Star Wars memorabilia as well as this ugly fella…
