When it comes to international trade shows, we’re usually the first ones searching the hashtag to see what’s going on outside of the UK. It’s a great way to get new inspiration and see some designers who you wouldn’t normally know about. That’s why Mark was so excited to be able to attend Maison & Objet in Singapore while on a work trip.
With his blogging head on, Mark was keen to check out some of the key trends at the show and – while the show was small – managed to spot a colour which kept repeating on stands from designers all over the world.
A mix between copper and gold, Rose Gold was one of the key trends he saw in Singapore. While it was a small show, much smaller than its Parisian counterpart, the halls were awash with the warming glow of rose gold. From chairs from the Philippines and trays from Italy, he definitely fell a little bit in love with the hue.
We’ve been inspired by these finds and have found some rose gold pieces a little closer to home. Check these out below!
1. Elio Eclectic Gold Bar Chair from Andrews Loft, $298 | 2. Gold Coloured Metal Table from Kaleidoscope, £189 | 3. Rose Gold-Tone Mirror from George Home, £5 | 4. Cube Desk Tidy from Tom Dixon, Price on Request
If you’ve seen any more amazing rose gold pieces, we’d love you to share them with us! Post them to us on Twitter.
After all, isn’t life a bit more wonderful when it’s rose-tinted? So it’s even better when it’s gold,
David & Mark x
