It’s that time of year when we head to the AW16 press shows to see what new and exciting collections the world of interiors has to offer. Last week we popped to Habitat to see what they were offering – here’s a sneak peek…

The main theme for autumn/winter is a Jackson Pollock inspired ‘splatter’ print. This expressionist art effect is a relaxed and playful change to geometric designs which have been on trend for the past couple of years.

With soft furnishings, rugs, crockery and ceramic vases, it’s a great way to bring an artistic flair into the home, simply from one statement piece.

This season, building on the existing collection, Habitat has designed 250 products in-house. Part of these include a fantastic range of accessories and crockery. A beautiful contrast to the colourful splash pieces seen above, this range offers understated tribal patterns and organic shapes in a muted palette of grey, mustard yellow, chocolate and soft blue for a rich, earthy feel.

One of our favourites from next seasons collection are these sets of monochrome grid crockery. Aren’t they fun?

And lighting, as ever, was beautifully presented with dramatic oversized pendents.

Now, no AW16 press show is complete without a little taste of Christmas! Here’s a little snippet of a few of our favourite decorations you can expect to grace your tree this winter.

What do you think of Habitat’s AW16 collection? Did any of the above catch your eye?

We’d love to hear your thoughts so as always, feel free to drop us a comment and let us know on Twitter.
