Brrrr… hello October, you chilly little beast. It’s official, we’re in autumn. Scarves are wrapped tightly around peoples necks and leaves are crunching under our feet. With the turn of season comes a bunch of exciting new things. From pops of neon to something colder than the weather outside, here’s three launches to keep an eye on this October. Starting with a whole new seasonal colour palette…
Nine new paints from Farrow & Ball
It’s been two years since Farrow & Ball released new colours so the design world, and all those hardcore Farrow & Ball fans – what are they called, Ballers? Farrowers? – are naturally excited to see the new hues.
And what are the new shades, you ask. School House White, Treron, Jitney (below right), Paean Black, Sulking Room Pink, Rangwali (below left), Preference Red, Bancha and De Nimes make up the whole shebang.
It’s a beautiful new collection and we’re sure that the new paints will be a hit. Check out the full palette here.
Smeg gets Disneyfied
We’ve had Dolce & Gabbana, Mini and Veuve Cliquot and now Smeg, the leading Italian appliance brand is teaming up with every child’s favourite entertainment conglomerate, Disney. To mark a year signified by two landmark anniversaries, Smeg’s 70th as a brand and the first birthday of its flagship London store, Smeg are launching a limited edition fridge which features global icon and everyone’s favourite mouse, Mickey (who is also celebrating his milestone 90th anniversary this year, the old fart).

Neon dreams from Divine Savages
We came across these chaps a couple of months ago and then spotted them at London Design Festival this year where they were showcasing at 100% Design as part of 100% Forward. Divine Savages are specialists in beautiful interiors, from wallpapers and soft furnishings to gifts and art, the designs are eclectic with a traditional flair.
We’re huge fans of their tasselled lampshades but it was their collection at 100% Design which really caught our eye. Teaming up with Light Up North, Divine Savages created an installation of light up neon wallpaper. Now, as lovers of neon it was definitely unique.
And how amazing is that Light Up North ‘Atomic’ print? Major heart eyes emoji. Check out all their cool print here. Would you look at that, that’s four new things you need to know about for October – cheeky!
