- Fashion: EMG x SEWA Collaboration for Estethica at LFW
With support from Monsoon, charity initiative EMG (which you may remember their debut ‘Salvage T’s’ cycle) have teamed up with Indian women’s charity SEWA for a special project for Estethica at LFW. As always, they’ve used waste fabrics – this time provided by Monsoon – to create a stand out garment which will be showcased this weekend.
EMG is a wonderful initiative, one which looks to raise funds and awareness for social issues surrounding the fashion industry. Whether you work in the industry or not, it’s a great initiative to support. You can find all details here as well as updates and news on their Twitter and Facebook.

- Interiors: how rude!
There’s a new Urban Outfitters collection about to come on the scene – Rude x UO. It’s bright, fun and full of energy ideal for updating the home coming in to those dreary Winter months. Mugs and duvet covers, notepads and rugs all feature in this fab partnership with the phrase “Love Your Stuff” running throughout. The collection will be hitting stores and online from September – definitely one to watch!

- Food: food, glorious food
You can’t beat local home-grown food. That’s why this weeks ‘food’ is supporting our local area Tooting with the annual Tooting Foodival 2014. It’s all about growing local, eating local as well as being sustainable. It’s this weekend and is free for all! Information can be found here as well as this lovely poster below.
- Places to go: like being in a bad dream
Another one from Glasgow – we recently visited Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art. A beautiful old building, the museum is free and hosts wonderful exhibitions. Whilst we were there we got to view the Douglas Gordon exhibition titled Pretty much every film and video work from about 1992 until now.
A room full of televisions, each screen shows Gordon’s work each one as bizarre, humorous, disturbing and captivating as the next. They overlap, they loop and repeat – some are silent whilst others screech and squawk. The exhibition is hypnotic, like being in a bad dream you want to be in and one which we’d certainly return to.
