If there’s one thing we’ve learned from previous Septembers it’s this; always wear comfortable shoes. With us both working at PR agencies, we know that September is always going to be a crazy month. Between LFW and LDF, we’ve had just about our fill of acronyms but we need to power through.
David has just had Somerset House as his stomping ground while he looks after exciting client the EMG Initiative who showcased at Estethica, and he’s already regaled us with what celebs he’s spotted and key (if not questionable) fashion “trends” which are occurring within the numerous hangers-on that stand about in the venue. We’re looking forward to the translation of these into interior style in the coming seasons!
However, as interior bloggers, it’s London Design Festival we’re most excited about. Encompassing design from all angles from interiors, homewares, furniture and objet, we’re looking to get our fill of inspiration all over London. With the city split into several ‘design districts’ there’s a huge amount of ground to be covered, so maybe it’s time to ditch the Chelsea Boots and crack out the Converse – no-one wants to see this…

This week is bananas, with us both combing the city for the newest designs (whilst squeezing in a cheeky bit of shopping for the new place) but there’s two events we’e getting excited about – and they’re both on the same night…
The sweethearts of our interior style, West Elm are launching LOCAL, which is all about partnerships with local makers, designers and artisans. We can’t wait to stop by to see a curated selection of locally designed home décor and get to see some talent that is usually hidden…
We’re also very excited (if not a little sad about being double booked) about the launch of Islington Design District in, well, Islington on the same evening. Having being invited by our good friends at Rumour PR, we’re looking forward to the event which is hosted by Smug.
We’re just going to have to peg it from Tottenham Court Road to Islington – better get those Converse out – or invest in some rollerskates!
Happy fesitvalling everyone and remember; comfortable shoes!
In the spirit of acronyms, TTYL,
