David’s mum is rather good at this one – bringing theatrics in to the home.

David recently was pondering what he’d do if he had infinite money for homewares, Mark’s answer was one of worry and doubt… “our flat would turn in to your mum’s house”, he cheekily said.

However, he’s right. At David’s mums, antiques, vintage finds, gifts from friends, ornaments passed down from family members all sit alongside grandfather clocks, beautifully upholstered sofas and touches of period drama such as old battered books and lavish decorative feathers. All tastefully done, of course!

We love the little theatrics which enter the home. It’s great to take inspiration from film and literature such as Marie Antoinette and Anna Karenina. Think brushes of romance, pale pinks and blues, chintzy florals and dramatic designs.
