- Fashion: time to shop
On Saturday 6th December head to East London for the East London Designer Christmas Sale. Designers such as Eleanor Bolton, Silken Favours and Katherine Pont will be selling and it’s a great time to pick up some fab Christmas goodies.
Only a £1 to get in (and with that you get a complimentary mulled wine and mince pie!), it’s definitely worth going to see these great designers.
- Interiors: hanging about
Speaking of Eleanor Bolton, you may be familiar with the jewellery designer’s work? If not, check it out here. Eleanor has introduced Knotted Interiors to her collection; really cute hanging rope planters. They come in a range of colours and are ideal for sprucing up the place! The prices start at £15 for a small and go up from there. Check them out here.
- Food: Balthazar
Last week we headed to Covent Garden to Balthazar. The younger sister of the New York restaurant, it’s wonderfully decorated with delicious food.
Mark opted for Mozerella and cherry tomatoes for a starter with steak and frites to follow, whereas David took the adventurous approach going for partridge as a main which proceeded escargots in garlic butter, something he had never tried before. It was very tasty and the pecan pie which finished the whole meal was the cherry on top!
- Places to go: Death of a Sails-Man
After Balthazar came something bizarre – a trip to Soho Theatre to see comedian Sam Simmons in his show “Death of a Sails-Man”. It was really rather funny! A lonesome windsurfer gets lost at sea and from there a series of weird events occur to lead up to his inevitable death.
The show continues for another couple of days so if you have a chance you should definitely go and see. Head here for the details.
- Just because: captured mermaids
These images by photographer Tim Walker for W Magazine will always be one of our favourites.
